Pleomorphic adenoma is a benign tumor that primarily affects the parotid gland, though it can also occur in other salivary glands. This tumor is characterized by its slow growth and typically presents as a painless, firm, and mobile mass near the jaw, in front of the ear, or under the chin. While these tumors are non-cancerous, they have the potential to transform into malignant tumors if left untreated.
